Road Cycling at Bike Brechfa
Road cycling in mid-Wales based at BikeBrechfa
Based in the heart of Carmarthenshire, we can provide wonderful opportunities for road riding starting here at BikeBrechfa. Longer rides explore the Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains from the door while shorter routes can climb up onto Llanybydder/Llanllwni mountain range, or for a gentler rider weave along the Cothi and Twyi valleys. The roads around Carmarthenshire vary from 6km alpine style mountain passes with breathtaking views and switchback descents to rolling valley roads with minimum traffic interference. There are endless opportunities for riding in the area and routes we have set out vary from 32 - 150km. Using the many quiet roads around Carmarthenshire; BikeBrechfa can provide you with maps or even show you some of their favourite tarmac based rides around the area.

Rides of up to 100 miles a day can be mapped out on local digital mapping and printed off for you to guide yourself. Hills are the main ingredients for these rides as you cannot ride anywhere around here without going over one at somepoint. So if you are after some early season hill work or some quiet roads to get your base training off to a good start then why not book yourself in for a long weekend of welsh road riding? Support for these rides can be catered for with lunch being brought out to the hills for that vital refuelling needed half way round that monster ride.
